We are a Brooklyn-based design firm with over 20 years of experience with non-profits, Fortune 100 companies, and mom-and-pop businesses. A boutique-sized studio, we collaborate closely with our clients and offer a full set of services, including brand identity, marks and logos, publication design, web design, advertising and promotional materials. We believe good design makes a difference – that any project benefits from intelligent thinking and innovation. Our well-developed relationships with the finest writers, photographers, printers, and editors, result in exceptional products.

Recently, some of our clients have requested our help in color selection for their personal interiors. This has lead us into interior design, which has been an enjoyable extension of our company's offerings. We approach it in the same way we do graphics – with a sense of balance, creativity and fun. By working closely with our clients, we are able to create designs that respond to our clients’ particular needs and desires. The result is fresh and honest design with optimum functionality.

Karen Alban Blankenship

Before creating Blankenship Design, Karen was the art director at the award-winning, international architectural firm, Beyer Blinder Belle. Here she created promotional pieces, RFPs, ADA-compliant signage and publication designs to illuminate the company’s message and that of their clients. Working together with the partners as well as the many architects and interior designers, strengthened the foundation for the work done today in the Blankenship Design studio.

This was after a move from Texas where she worked for a small design firm while attending college at Trinity University. She has a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Studio Art and a minor in Vocal Performance. With a lifelong love of art and design, she continues to develop personal projects – interior design, drawing, painting, and creating ceramic sculptures and pottery. In the evenings she is a studio manager for Long Island University's ceramic department.

Below is a link to her resume for further details.

We believe in:
